Biography
Not Operated is a Berlin-based techno artist and veteran of the international scene, active since 2007. A classically trained musician and hardware-only producer, he has released music under various aliases on his own labels Solenoid Records and S-Limited, as well as on respected imprints including Twirl, Exploited, The Hindie Corporation (Bogotá) and Bullfinch.
His sound has taken him to renowned venues such as About Blank, OXI, Sisyphos and Renate in Berlin, AND Club and Modular in South Africa, Radion and Church in Amsterdam, and Micro in Sofia, among others. He has also appeared frequently on influential radio platforms like HÖR, Red Light Radio, and Rinse FM.
With his Not Operated project, he focuses on DAWless live techno performances, building every set from scratch. This “all-hardware” approach fuels the raw energy, spontaneity, and unpredictability that define his powerful and adrenaline-driven live shows.
